CLARE EGGINGTON

Clare Eggington read music at the University of Wales, Cardiff where she was also a member of the BBC National Chorus of Wales. Funded by a Lilian Baylis scholarship, Clare Eggington completed The Knack, a performance course run by English National Opera. Whilst studying on The Knack she sang in the premiere of Jonathan Dove’s Little Red Riding Hood as Red Riding Hood. Clare Eggington then received a scholarship to continue her training with a postgraduate Vocal Diploma at Trinity College of Music, London.

Since leaving college she has sung with Morley Opera, West London Opera, Opera Box and toured the UK with Swansea City Opera in The Pearl Fishers and The Daughter of the Regiment. She has also sung on several films soundtracks, including Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and Sponge Bob Square Pants - The Movie.

Recent roles include Josephine in HMS Pinafore and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance for Windsor and Eton Operatic Society, Adina in The Elixir of Love for Guildford Opera and The Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute for both Park Opera and Guildford Opera.
