Sharin Apostolou is a frequent performer of early music and has sung the title role in Cavalli’sLa Calistowith Portland Opera and the Portland Baroque Orchestra. Similar repertoire includes the U.S. premiere of Johan Christian Bach’s Vaux Hall Songswith the New England Baroque Soloists and excerpts from both Purcell’s HarmoniaSacraand Vivaldi’s Bajazetwith the Portland Opera. She has also covered both Virtùand Vallettoin L'incoronazionedi Poppeawith Central City Opera.

Ms. Apostolou made her European debut with the International Chamber Ensemble as part of the Operafestivaldi Roma as Serpinain Pergolesi's La servapadrona.In the summer of 2009 Ms. Apostolou debuted with Green Mountain Opera Festival as Barbarinain Le nozze di Figaroand Adina in L’elisird’amore. As a Studio Artist with Portland Opera, she performed Ms. Wordsworth in Albert Herring, Clorindain La Cenerentola, Frasquitain Carmen, The High Priestess in Aida, Anninain La Traviata,and Countess Cepranoin Rigoletto;and, in addition, covered the roles of Violetta, Gilda, The Governess and Marzelline.

In 2007 at Central City Opera she sang Noémiein the youth performance of Cendrillon, Isabelle/Madeline in The Face on the Barroom Floorand, under the direction of Catherine Malfitano, covered Anninain The Saint of BleeckerStreet. She also toured as Carolina in Torroba’sLuisa Fernandawith the Tulsa Opera Studio. Additional roles include Blanche de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites, Zemirein Spohr’sZemireund Azor, Nora in Vaughan Williams’Riders to the Seaand Vera in Hoiby’sA Month in the Country.

She has sung concerts with the Oregon Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Walla Walla Symphony and Portland Chamber Orchestra. Sharin performs the role of Belinda in Dido and Aeneaswith Opera Manhattan and Romildain Serse with Pocket Opera New York. Summer of 2010 finds her apprenticing at the Caramoor Festival under the direction of Will Crutchfield.
